Music Festival Bullshit

Music festivals are a business and businesses main purpose is to make money. Understandable but it really pisses me off that they pull a lot of shady shit to make a buck. Coachella has already sold out General Admission tickets and VIP tickets with the presale for weekend 1. They have GA+Shuttle tickets still for sale but that takes the tickets from being $285 (normal GA) to $335. Its the only way they are able to sell the number of shuttle passes the city of Indio has required for GoldenVoice to sell to hold the fest. Im not aware of the number of shuttle passes they must sell but I hope that Im able to grab a ticket for the first weekend. I have friends going the first weekend and really dont want to go the 2nd weekend alone. I guess I could always buy a pass for the 2nd weekend and hope to trade with someone but with all the rules on your pass has to have your name on it and all this is kind of ridiculous.

  1. They are terribly overpriced most of the time aren't they? Nice blog by the way.

  2. With the amount of talent for 3 days I think $100 a day is worth it. But forcing people to buy things they dont want to go makes me mad

  8. I agree, I've been to a few and I can say that I'm disinterested in the process required to attend...

  9. More frustrating is seeing all the tickets show up on ebay, cragislist, etc. at inflated prices, courtesy scalpers.
